Visit West, the official Local Visitor Economy Partnership for Bristol, Bath and the West of England, has today announced the relaunch of its Convention Bureau under a bold new identity. Formerly known as 'Meet Bristol and Bath', the service will now operate as ‘Visit West Convention Bureau’, a name that better reflects the region and its parent organisation.

The name change is part of a wider Visit West rebrand project with more to be revealed later this spring.
Alongside the rebrand, Visit West Convention Bureau has unveiled a redesigned website (visitwestconventionbureau.co.uk) offering a more intuitive and comprehensive resource for event planners, associations, incentive and conference organisers looking to bring their events to the region.
The new website brings enhanced functionality and user experience, showcasing the region while serving as a practical resource for UK and international event planners. It includes detailed information on venues, accommodation, accessibility and the free support available through the bureau. A dedicated section also explains the role and value of a convention bureau, helping first-time users understand how the team can support their event plans.
Helen Applin, Head of Events for Visit West, said: “We are delighted to unveil our new name alongside the new website highlighting why Bristol, Bath and the West of England offers exceptional quality and choice to Meeting, Event and Incentive planners.”
The rebrand follows a strong year for the team. Business events generate significant economic impact for the West of England economy, bringing delegates who spend on accommodation, hospitality, transport and cultural experiences, often outside of peak leisure tourism seasons. In the past 12 months, Visit West managed enquiries with a combined value of exceeding £3 million, highlighting the vital economic role Visit West plays in attracting high-value business visitors and events to the region

Visit West Convention Bureau continues to offer a full range of complimentary services to event organisers, including venue-finding support, bid development for national and international conferences and events, educational destination visits and access to a network of trusted local suppliers.
The team works across Bristol, Bath and the wider West of England region, partnering with hotels, conference venues and universities to secure major events that boost the local visitor economy and the region’s national and international profile. They also represent the destination at trade shows and sales missions in the UK and overseas, working in partnership with Meet England and other industry leaders.
Kathryn Davis, CEO of Visit West, said: “This is an exciting opportunity to reposition the strategic role of the Convention Bureau, working in partnership with our commercial partners and public sector. The offer for event organisers will transform in the next five years with new event venues, improved connectivity and new hotels that will completely change the region and its capacity to bid for and host events.”
