William and Marianne Cartwright-Hignett, owners and managers of the iconic Iford Manor estate, will once again welcome guests to their stunning Grade 1 listed gardens near Bath this summer solstice weekend, 18 – 21 June, for a spectacular series of evening concerts, with a programme of acclaimed jazz artists.

Curated by multi-award-winning jazz vocalist, Claire Martin OBE, the line-up this year has something for everyone. Claire says “As we reach our fifth year, I am absolutely delighted to be celebrating this milestone for the Iford Manor Jazz Festival. It has been a particular joy this year to shine a light on women in jazz, with three of our main acts being female-led. This truly reflects the extraordinary depth, originality and brilliance they bring to the genre. It is a true honour for me to curate this festival each year, and it remains one of my highlights every summer, as it is the perfect chance to bring together world-class jazz artists in a magical setting and an audience who listens with open hearts. See you there!”

Intimate cloister concerts on Thursday and Friday evenings feature Trish Clowes & Ross Stanley and Vanessa Haynes Duo presents Aretha Franklin – Queen of Soul, respectively, before Saturday gives way to dancing the night away to Snowboy and the Latin Section and DJ Mike Vitti on the lawn. On Saturday and Sunday a delicious three course lunch can be enjoyed whilst listening to the up-coming Maddie Martin Duo.

William Cartwright-Hignett said: “I’m so excited to celebrate the 5th year of our Jazz Festival. Claire has curated yet another incredible line-up of musicians and it’s going to be a fantastic weekend of music, dancing and food in the magical setting of the gardens.”
