City Uncovered will run in Bristol from 18–31 May, featuring more than 30 experiences. Highlights include events at the Clifton Suspension Bridge, from yoga sessions and drawing workshops to a dusk bat walk exploring the wildlife that lives around it. Elsewhere, visitors can step inside a hidden air raid shelter beneath St Nicholas Market, join guided wildlife safaris, or explore Bristol’s food scene through curated street food and cultural tours. Creative workshops also feature, from urban photography sessions to hands-on craft experiences at Bristol Folk House.

The programme will then launch in Bath from 1–14 June, with experiences across the city to be announced in the coming weeks.

Designed for both residents and visitors, City Uncovered encourages people to spend more time exploring the places they live in or are visiting, offering new perspectives on familiar locations. It forms part of a wider programme also launching in Birmingham and Brighton this spring.

The programme is organised by Yuup, a Bristol-based experiences marketplace working with local hosts, venues and creatives to curate experiences that reflect each city and the people who shape it. It is supported by Visit West and Bristol BID, helping to spotlight the independent businesses, venues and organisations that make the region unique.

As part of the Bristol edition, £1 from every ticket sold will be donated to TAP for Bristol, an initiative by Bristol BID. The scheme has raised more than £170,000 for local charities supporting homelessness prevention and emergency projects, with guests also able to donate when booking.

Tickets for Bristol go on sale from 28 April, with limited availability. Tickets for Bath go on sale from 12 May. Residents and visitors can now join the waitlist for early access: yuup.co/city-uncovered

Steve Bluff, COO, Bristol BID – Supporting Partner of City Uncovered says: “City Uncovered is a great way to bring fresh energy into Bristol by creating new opportunities to spend time in the city centre. By encouraging people to step inside and explore local businesses and venues, it supports the independent places that make Bristol what it is”

Kathryn Davis, CEO, Visit West - Supporting Partner of City Uncovered says: “Bristol and Bath are cities full of stories, creativity and character, and City Uncovered offers a new way to experience that. It’s about going beyond the surface and discovering the people and places that give the cities their identity.”

Dominic Mills, Founder, Yuup – Organiser of City Uncovered says: “City Uncovered is about helping people rediscover the city they think they know. With the support of partners like Bristol BID and Visit Bristol, we’re bringing together Bristol’s hosts, makers and venues to create something fresh, social and rooted in local pride. Our ambition is for it to become a standout moment in the city’s cultural calendar - a reason for people to get out, try something new, and feel more connected to where they live.”

Paula Ratcliffe, Project Lead for TAP for Bristol says: “We are delighted that Yuup has chosen TAP for Bristol as their charity partner for City Uncovered. Not only will guests get to experience Bristol in new ways, but they will also be helping to fund projects which are often lifelines to those who are currently, or at risk of being, homeless in our city.”
