Haynes Motor Museum’s highly popular monthly car boot sales return for 2026. Taking place on the first Saturday of every month from April to October, locals, collectors and families can turn up on the day to sell preloved items and hunt for a great bargain.

Held on the Museum’s dedicated outdoor hardstanding events area and welcoming up to 500 vehicles, these bustling car boot sales are among the largest in the South West.

Buyers can expect a wide variety of stalls offering everything from vintage pieces and rare collectables to everyday items at great prices.

The Museum grounds offer a simple, effective setup, with on the day arrival and no pre-booking required. It’s an ideal opportunity for sellers to clear out unwanted items and earn some extra cash.

"Our car boot sales have been a fantastic success over the last few years, bringing together locals, collectors and families," said Martin Dawson, Events and Engagement Manager at Haynes Motor Museum.

"We look forward to seeing our space fill with eager buyers and sellers once again. It’s always exciting to see what accessories, collectables, and hidden treasures people bring along, ready for a new home."

Sellers can arrive from 7:45am, with admission costing £5 per car and £10 per van or trailer. Buyers can enter from 9:00am, with entry priced at £1 per person, payable on the gate. Children under 10 go free. Early entry is available from 8:30am for £5 per person.

After a morning of treasure hunting, visitors can extend their day with a visit to the Museum or Museum Café. Across 15 exhibition spaces, the Museum showcases more than 300 vehicles alongside a unique collection of automotive memorabilia.

The Haynes Motor Museum car boot sales will take place on the following dates in 2026: 4 April, 2 May, 6 June, 4 July, 1 August, 12 September*, and 3 October.

*The September car boot sale will be held on 12 September 2026 due to the John Haynes Classic Motor Show on Sunday 7th September.

As an Arts Council England Accredited Museum and registered charity, these car boot sales support Haynes Motor Museum’s charitable aims, helping to fund learning activities, inspire future generations, and conserve its motoring heritage collection.
