CUPP will open a brand new flagship concept store in Bristol this spring, replacing the brand’s much-loved Cabot Circus shipping container and marking the next chapter for the Bristol-born drinks brand.

Opening in early April 2026 on Penn Street, just outside Cabot Circus, the new location introduces “The Milk Tea Store”, a café-style concept celebrating the drink at the heart of bubble tea: classic milk tea.

Founded in Bristol in 2012, CUPP helped introduce authentic Taiwanese boba to the UK and has since grown into one of the country’s leading specialist drinks brands. The new concept returns the brand to its roots, celebrating both the origins of bubble tea and CUPP's origins in Bristol.

The new store transforms CUPP from a grab-and-go container into a 35-seat café destination, designed for customers to sit, stay and experience the full CUPP menu.

The new store will offer:

  • CUPP’s full authentic Taiwanese boba menu
  • Premium matcha and specialist matcha drinks
  • Barista-quality coffee
  • Asian-inspired food, including sandos, rice bowls and raved about Taiwanese-style
  • chicken
  • Taiwan-style French toast and more

The design of the space is inspired by the colour and warmth of milk tea, featuring soft milk-tea-toned interiors, Scandinavian-inspired design details and subtle nods to CUPP’s original shipping container.

The result is a calm, contemporary space rooted in CUPP’s story while introducing the next evolution of the brand experience.

Launching the concept in Bristol is intentional. As the city where CUPP began, the new store celebrates the community and loyal customers who supported the brand from its earliest days and marks the start of its next chapter.
