The VisitEngland star rating is a trusted benchmark for UK travellers, providing a clear and reliable indication of quality. Four-star status is awarded to hotels scoring between 70–84%, with Mollie’s Oxford achieving a score of 79% and Mollie’s Bristol achieving a score of 80%, reflecting high standards not only in facilities but also in the overall guest experience.
The four-star recognition further strengthens Mollie’s growing reputation as a standout hospitality brand offering design-led stays at accessible price points. Inspired by classic American roadside motels and drive-in diners, Mollie’s blends nostalgic touches such as red neon signage and an easy-going vibe with modern luxuries, including digital check-in, a custom Mollie’s app and stylish, high-quality rooms.
The assessment highlighted the strength and consistency of Mollie’s overall product, with particular emphasis on bedroom comfort and attention to detail. Beds and bedding were noted as a standout feature, reflecting the brand’s focus on sleep as a core part of the guest experience. Thoughtfully designed rooms combine contemporary interiors with carefully selected furnishings, including pieces from Conran and luxury mattresses from Hypnos.
Bathrooms and in-room amenities were also commended, with positive feedback on shower quality and water pressure, alongside fast, reliable WiFi throughout the hotels. High standards of housekeeping and the friendliness of the Mollie’s teams were recognised as key strengths, with service across reception and the diner described as consistently welcoming and professional. Premium touches such as Dyson hairdryers and Cowshed bathroom products further enhance the guest experience.

Commenting on the achievement, Mike Hogan, Head of Operations, said: “Achieving four-star status from VisitEngland for both Oxford and Bristol is a brilliant endorsement of the Mollie’s experience. It reflects the care our teams put into every stay and reinforces our belief that great design, comfort and service should be accessible, without the traditional luxury price tag.”
Following the success of its current locations, Mollie’s is continuing to expand its UK footprint, with its first city-centre hotel opening in Manchester in February 2026, and an Edinburgh site currently in the pipeline.
