THE PIG Hotels, the UK's much-loved collection of restaurants with rooms known for their 25 mile menus and obsessive commitment to homegrown produce, has announced the launch of its first-ever teatime at THE PIG. Affectionately named Buttered & Baked, this is a new experience designed to celebrate the flavours, foraged finds and garden-led philosophy at the heart of every PIG.
Available at THE PIG-near Bath from December 2025, this new tea offers a laid-back, rustic twist on the British classic, championing ingredients grown in each hotel’s Kitchen Garden and sourced from local farmers, bakers and artisans.
Guests can expect a generous spread of handmade savouries, garden-inspired bakes and indulgent treats all conceived by THE PIG’s in-house pastry teams.

Andy Wright, Group Head Chef, THE PIGs said: “Teatime anywhere is such a heartening ritual, but we wanted to reinterpret it the PIG way – rooted in our gardens, shaped by the seasons, and served with that relaxed, no-fuss charm our guests love. This is not a dainty, white-gloved affair; it’s generous, rustic and full of flavour. We’re excited to introduce something our guests have been asking for, but with our own homegrown twist.”
