Boxing Day Brunch

After a busy day of cooking on Christmas Day, this Boxing Day The Ivy Collection is serving up an indulgent Boxing Day Brunch, perfect for guests who need a break from the kitchen and are looking to spend more quality time with friends and family. Guests can enjoy a glass of The Ivy Champagne, included in the price of the set menu, to keep festivities going from the day before. Alternatively, guests can choose to add on a more revitalising tipple, such as a Bloody Mary, with Ketel One, Bloody spiced tomato juice, lemon, a gherkin and a tajin rim, a Madeleine Irish Coffee, with Jameson, madeleine, coffee, cream and nutmeg or a refreshing Pomegranate & Spiced Pear Bellini.

With Truffle Arancini Rice Balls for the table, followed by the choice of main, side, and dessert guests are bound to be satisfied. Seasonal mains include Chicken Bourguignon slow-braised with pancetta, pearl onions and chestnut mushrooms; Blackened Cod Fillet with soy glaze, citrus-pickled fennel and yuzu; and a vibrant plant-based Boxing Day Curry made with sweet potato, green beans, coconut yoghurt and fragrant jasmine rice.

Desserts feature winter berry Crème Brûlée with shortbread, The Ivy Chocolate Bombe with honeycomb and hot caramel, and Colston Bassett Stilton served with grapes, celery, crackers and chutney.

Twixmas Dining at The Ivy Collection

This ‘Twixmas’ – the unusual-feeling time between Christmas day and New Year’s Eve, The Ivy Collection is inviting guests into its restaurants to keep the festivities going and leave those pesky household chores that little bit longer. Research conducted by The Ivy Collection found that washing up and cleaning (40%) is the number one thing UK adults don’t fancy doing between Christmas and New Year, laundry (29%), ironing clothes (26%) and grocery shopping (18%) also high on the list.

Instead, what Brits do want to spend their time on is far more joyful: spending time with family (59%), watching seasonal films (41%) and catching up with friends (30%), with a little post-Christmas shopping (15%) also making the list.

With The Ivy Collection restaurants welcoming guests from Boxing Day all the way into the New Year, those wishing to avoid the pile of dishes and the hassle of cooking can enjoy festive dining without the fuss.

Running until January 4, The Ivy Collection’s Festive All Day Dining menu offers the perfect mix of indulgence and comfort for the season. Starters include French Onion Soup topped with bubbling gratinated cheese, Duck Liver Parfait with caramelised hazelnuts and cranberry chutney, or Lobster & Cheese Soufflé, twice-baked in a rich cream sauce with lobster and samphire.

Mains feature hearty favourites such as Duck, Lamb & Beef Shepherd’s Pie with cranberry chutney and red wine sauce, or the warming Massaman Duck Curry with sweet potato, coconut and jasmine rice. Seafood lovers can opt for the Blackened Cod Fillet with soy glaze, citrus-pickled fennel and wakame seaweed, or the indulgent Lobster Linguine with garlic, chilli and parsley.

To finish, festive desserts include The Ivy Santa - a playful vanilla parfait with white chocolate blondie - alongside flambéed Christmas Pudding with almonds and redcurrants, and the signature Ivy Chocolate Bombe with honeycomb and hot caramel sauce.

Sean Burbidge, Executive Chef at The Ivy Collection said: “At The Ivy, we see the festive season as a time to savour - and it certainly doesn’t end on Christmas Day.
