Set against the backdrop of Brunel’s iconic SS Great Britain, The Board Walk is open from breakfast to dinner and is designed to be a social hub for visitors, locals, and event guests alike. To celebrate the launch, from 6pm on Friday and Saturday nights, until 19th December, parties of up to 12 can enjoy 50% off all food when they book online.

What’s on the menu?

  • ‘Best of Bristol’ seasonal specials changing throughout the year, making the most of the region’s best produce. Dishes include Bristol cider braised chorizo, beef and Bristol beer pie and grilled squash brushed with spiced Bristol rum glaze.
  • Charcoal-grilled evening dishes, bar snacks and sharing boards for relaxed dinners with friends. The menu includes Somerset charcuterie, Wookey Hole croquettes and ham hock terrine with Wiltshire apple & cider brandy chutney.
  • Freshly cooked breakfasts, light lunches, and homemade cakes.
  • Locally roasted coffee from Bristol’s own Wogan’s as well as Wogan coffee tiramisu.
  • A carefully chosen selection of cocktails, local beers from Bristol Brewing Company and a wine list featuring curated English & European wines

Inspired by the ship’s history, the interiors showcase reclaimed wood from the original vessel and framed historical photographs celebrating its legacy, with further artwork to follow.

The restaurant offers banquette seating, bistro tables, and a spacious terrace with sweeping waterside views.

In addition to its daily café and dining offer, The Board Walk provides a unique setting for weddings meetings and events in a refreshing, light and airy setting, with unrivalled views of the famous Bristol Harbour and Capricorn Quay.

The Board Walk will also host regular live music nights featuring local musicians, alongside a cocktail hour from 6 – 7pm Friday – Saturday, showcasing signature and seasonal drinks with 2 for 1 on selected cocktails.

Jonathan Higgins, general manager for Elior UK at SS Great Britain, said: “We wanted The Board Walk to feel like a true part of Bristol’s buzzing food scene - a place where people can come together over great food and drink in a setting unlike anywhere else in the city.”

The Board Walk has been created through a partnership between SS Great Britain Trust and Elior UK, combining heritage, hospitality, and local flavour. A percentage of all The Board Walk profits helps support the care and conservation of the SS Great Britain.

Whether you’re grabbing coffee and cake, meeting friends for dinner, or looking for a one-of-a-kind event venue, The Board Walk brings something fresh to Bristol’s harbourside.
