As spooky season starts to creep up on us all, Wookey Hole is rolling out a jam-packed Halloween line-up for families across the South West.
From fancy dress contests and an Instagram-worthy pumpkin patch, all-new circus shows and a series of very special appearances from a best-selling children’s book author, Wookey Hole truly is THE home of Halloween, and the place to be this October.
Dracula and Daughters
This October, Wookey Hole will host a very special guest, best-selling children’s author Emma Carroll.
Celebrating the release of her brand-new book, Dracula and Daughters, Emma will be hosting two very special events in the Wookey Hole Theatre on Sunday, October 12th and Thursday, October 30th, featuring live readings, Q&A sessions, and book signings… a truly magical experience for young readers!
Join the Vampire Trail
Sink your teeth into a brand-new Vampire trail, inspired by the Dracula and Daughters book. Follow the clues, encounter characters from the story, solve the spooky mystery, and win Halloween treats!
The Vampire Circus
Roll-up, Roll-up! This Halloween, the Wookey Hole Circus rises from the shadows with a fang-tastic Vampire Circus! The thirty-minute show is packed with spooky stunts, tricks and lots of treats…a blood-curdlingly brilliant show that shouldn’t be missed. The show will run on weekends from 4th October, then every day from 25th October – 2nd November.
Fancy Dress Fun
The Witch of Wookey Hole loves it when visitors get into the spirit. Don your creepiest costume and enter Wookey Hole’s fancy dress competition, with the chance to win an annual pass for up to four people, and also the opportunity to grab a photo with the Witch of Wookey hole herself.

Circuses, trails and a literary giant aside, there’s plenty more fun to be found at Wookey Hole this Halloween.
The pumpkin patch is the perfect place to snap some spooky shots, and Pirate Golf gets a Ghoulish makeover. Zap, dodge and dive in the exciting Zap Zone, pay a visit to the penny arcades… but be careful not to get lost in the Mirror Maze.
Families can also make the most of the magic with an overnight stay, with Wookey Hole Hotel packages starting from just £169 for a family of four on selected dates from 4 October to 5 November.
