New high-energy birthday party experience launches at Mendip Activity Centre: Hangar 51 – Nerf & Gel Battles
Mendip Activity Centre has officially launched its newest adventure, Hangar 51, a purpose-built indoor battle arena for Nerf & Gel Battles, perfect for birthday parties and youth groups.
After testing the experience over the summer, the high-octane activity is now fully operational and already proving a hit, launching just in time for Halloween.
The website reads: “You’ve been cleared for entry into Hangar 51 – a decommissioned military hangar, once used for classified extraterrestrial research. It’s been reactivated as a real-life battle arena where YOU become the hero in your own adventure.”
Each session gives groups of 8 - 16 children exclusive command of Hangar 51 for 90 minutes: 45 minutes of Nerf battles followed by 45 minutes of UV Gelfire combat, complete with tactical missions and changing game modes. Gelfire Blasters are next-generation launchers and unleash glow-in-the-dark tracer rounds that streak through the air like sci-fi firepower.
Rich Eddins, co-owner of Mendip Adventure, thought up the idea: “We’re delighted to fully launch Hangar 51. The feedback from our test missions has been incredible. It’s the ultimate adventure for group fun, immersive and fast-paced!”
Also taking place throughout October, Mendip Activity Centre transforms for Halloween with themed activity zones. For goblins aged 4–12, the Toboggan slope becomes a glowing, spooky realm of lights, decorations and music, Trick or Treat Tobogganing! Plus, anyone aged 8 and over can join the Zombie Outbreak Response Team, testing their aim with Archery, Air Rifles and Axe Throwing.
Hangar 51 is open to all operatives aged 6 and up, making it an unbeatable choice for birthday parties, celebrations, or epic days out with friends.
