Spectacle of Light, one of the UK’s most magical winter light trails, returns to the enchanting grounds of Sudeley Castle in Gloucestershire for its tenth anniversary, running from 21 November – 30 December 2025. To mark the milestone, organisers have unveiled a brand-new theme that will capture the imaginations of both young and old visitors – King Arthur!

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of one of England’s most historic castles, Spectacle of Light transforms the castle gardens into a glittering wonderland of colour. This year’s trail will take guests on a journey through the myths and mysteries of Camelot, complete with an iconic glowing sword installation, enchanted woodland, magical beasts, awe-inspiring projections and lots of surprises around every corner to bring the Arthurian tale to life.

Spectacle of Light has become a beloved festive tradition for thousands of families, couples, and festive day-trippers across Gloucestershire and beyond over the past decade. Visitors have previously been captivated with themed light trails telling the stories of Alice in Wonderland, The Nutcracker, Peter Pan, The Wizard of Oz, Sleeping Beauty and more.

Along with immersive lighting displays, stunning projections, and an illuminated trail through Sudeley Castle’s historic grounds and gardens, visitors can also enjoy a selection of festive food and drink stalls to enjoy within their visit.

To celebrate the anniversary, Advance tickets are now on sale, offering a 10% saving on all tickets purchased before Thursday 20th November. Organisers are encouraging early booking due to high demand and several sold-out nights in previous years.

“We’re so proud to be celebrating ten years of Spectacle of Light at Sudeley Castle,” said Nic Beeby, the founder of the event.

“This year’s King Arthur theme feels like the perfect way to mark such a magical milestone, bringing together the rich history of Sudeley Castle with all of the spectacular storytelling and visual features that our audiences have come to love over the past decade, with plenty of new surprises for 2025!”
