A Somerset vineyard is preparing to pop the cork on its latest release of sparkling wine.
Aldwick Estate, a family-owned vineyard nestled at the foot of the Mendip Hills, has been producing award-winning wines since 2013 and its newly released Somerset Cuvée looks set to continue that tradition.
Crafted by renowned winemaker Steve Brooksbank using the traditional method, Somerset Cuvée is a delicate blend of Seyval Blanc and Pinot Noir grapes, all hand-tended and hand-picked by the Aldwick Estate team.
The grapes were harvested in 2021 “a good vintage for this particular fizz,” says Sandy Luck, Managing Director of Aldwick Estate, meaning just 500 bottles will be available this year.
Somerset Cuvée is an elegant, vibrant, sophisticated wine,” said Sandy. “It’s fresh yet indulgent, with a lasting finish – a true celebration wine.
Somerset Cuvée is available in limited quantities via the Aldwick Estate website and from the cellar door at the Estate. Visiting guests will also be able to purchase, by the bottle, at the Aldwick Estate bar.
