JOB DESCRIPTION: ADMINISTRATOR
Accountable to: The Artistic/Executive Director, also to the Participation Manager
The Role: The Administrator post will run the administrative systems that will enable The Natural Theatre Company to maintain its high standards, and go about its business. The Administrator will support The Artistic/Executive
Director, The Participation Manager and the Creative leads by undertaking office administration and organisation tasks. The Administrator will be involved in all aspects of administration including diary management, tour schedules, performer rotas, building organisation, resources orders, basic financial inputting into Xero, general
administration duties. This is an office, desk based contract.
Tasks associated with the role:
- Writing tour schedules and administrating travel, accommodation, get in, timings etc, and managing
- erything else required to enable our performers to get to their performance.
- Collating the monthly performer rota
- Assisting the team in the administrative element of the booking of appearances and performances.
- Liaising with clients.
- Data entry of some gig payments for performances in Xero Accounting
- Processing petty cash and expenses claims.
- Checking and answering the company info@ and hello@ email accounts and distributing emails to the relevant members of staff.
- Manage diaries, ensuring they are up to date and reminding staff of meetings, rehearsals and site visits.
- Booking the studio for hires, organising keys, logging maintenance.
- Supporting the Participation Manager in general administrative duties.
- Supporting the Artistic/Executive Director & assisting the Director in general administrative duties.
Person Specification
Essential:
- Previous administration or PA experience with the desire to step into a team role
- Proven excellent organisational skills
- Proven experience of managing multiple priorities
- Ability to solve problems
- A proven flexibility to get tasks completed, to work on own initiative and contribute to team environment
- Experience in office systems
- High level of computer literacy including excellent Word and Excel skills
- An ability to work alongside creative people
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent phone manner.
- A proven track record of working under pressure
- Excellent attention to detail.
Abbreviated Terms & Conditions
Salary: The Salary is £25980 per annum
Location/workbase: Natural Theatre, Widcombe Institute, Widcombe Hill, Bath BA2 6AA
Right to Work: To apply for this role you must be able to demonstrate your eligibility to work in the UK
Working Hours: Full-time 40 hours a week. We will consider applications for 4 days a week. Core office hours are variable between 9am and 6pm. Start and finish times are to be agreed. An ability to work flexibly is an advantage.
Annual Leave: 22 holiday plus 8 bank holidays
Contract Period: Permanent.
Probation: The appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of a six month probationary period
