Avon Valley Railway, due to popular demand, is holding a second Wine Festival this year on Friday 3 October, as part of its ‘Bounce Back Appeal.’ This event is different from the English Wine Festival as it offers a far wider variety of wines and drinks to try, together with Bath Soft Cheese’s great offerings.
Guests can sip on a variety of wines, local gins, rums, liqueurs, craft beers and ciders, with free canapes, all within the historic ambience of an 1869 railway station.
Appealing to wine and drink enthusiasts, the cherished heritage railway based at Bitton (between Bristol and Bath) is aiming that this will be a very unique drinks festival.
Roger Eynon, Chairman of the Avon Valley Railway Trust commented, “We are proud to be supporting our local producers and vendors at this event. Our guests can indulge in tasty drinks and cheeses from local producers, and maybe even discover a new favourite drink for Christmas! Whether you're a wine connoisseur or just looking for a fun evening, this festival is the perfect way to celebrate the season. “!
The station buffet will be open during the evening serving a wide range of tasty foods and drinks.
Tickets are now on sale through Eventbrite - all proceeds contribute towards making Avon Valley Railway sustainable for future generations.
