Job title: Events Project Support Assistant

Reporting to: Events Project Manager
Location: Office in central Bristol (with hybrid working between office and home)
The Role:
The Events Project Support Assistant will support the Events Project Manager in the planning, coordination and delivery of events for the Bristol BID. This role is hands-on and varied, you will attend, assist with, and help organise a wide range of events, from lunchtime wellbeing sessions to business networking, cultural activities, and large-scale festivals.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves events, enjoys working with people, and wants to gain experience in the event industry while making a positive impact on the city.

The person we are looking for will have:
- Enthusiasm for events and a “can do” approach to new opportunities.
- Good interpersonal skills, confident talking to people and keen to learn how to network effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
- Positive, flexible, and proactive approach to work.
- Willingness to attend and actively support all BID events, including daytime, evening and weekend activities.
- Basic IT skills (Office 365, email, databases/CRM desirable but not essential)
- Keen to gain experience and learn all aspects of event delivery.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with varied tasks.
- A strong team player who also takes initiative when working independently.
- Passionate about making Bristol a welcoming, vibrant, and engaging city for businesses, residents, and visitors.
