Bath BID releases Business Plan for its next five-year term

The Bath Business Improvement District (BID) announced the launch of its new five-year Business Plan for its fourth term at a launch event at Ludo Sports Bar on 16 September. The Business Plan sets out a bold and collaborative vision for the future of Bath’s commercial heart.

As a business-led and business-funded organisation, Bath BID exists to enhance the city’s defined commercial area through targeted investment and partnership. The newly published Business Plan outlines a clear roadmap for continued success, building on the achievements of the past five years while introducing new initiatives designed to support local businesses and elevate Bath’s appeal to customers, investors, staff and visitors alike.

Bath BID CEO Allison Herbert commented: “I am proud of the impact of the Bath BID team and our partners over the last five years, and I firmly believe that Bath can continue to perform strongly as a business location with the help of the collective power of local businesses within a BID arrangement.”

The BID levy—paid by eligible business ratepayers following a successful ballot—is reinvested directly into projects that benefit the local business community. The new Business Plan ensures transparency and accountability, detailing both ongoing programmes and exciting new developments.

Over the next term, Bath BID will focus on four strategic pillars:

• Cleansing – Keeping the city clean, welcoming and well-maintained
• Security – Enhancing safety and resilience for businesses and visitors
• Promotion – Showcasing Bath as a premier destination for commerce and culture
• Partnership – Strengthening collaboration across sectors and communities

With this renewed commitment, Bath BID aims to make collective investment a driving force behind a vibrant, inclusive and future-ready city.
