Lamphouse Theatre, fresh from their hit UK tour of Frankenstein (On a Budget) return to Bristol’s Wardrobe Theatre from 2-6 September with a brand new comedy version of Jules Verne’s Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Featuring Tom Fox and Becky Owen-Fisher, the familiar team being the On a Budget series, the show will parody the famous Brendan Fraser film and Rick Wakeman’s concept album, while paying homage to Jules Verne’s original story.
Created out of cardboard and full of silly jokes, catchy tunes and ridiculous costumes, this take on one of the most epic adventure stories of all time will be a great night out! Featuring two intrepid explorers, one impossible mission (featuring at least one joke about a big hole), and no special effects budget whatsoever. What could possibly go wrong?
Journey to the Centre of the Earth is the perfect show for comedy and music lovers, families with older children, students, and theatregoers who are looking for a good old belly laugh.
