The highly anticipated John Haynes Classic motor show will take place on Sunday 7th September 2025 at Haynes Motor Museum in Somerset.
Marking 40 years since John Haynes OBE founded the Museum in July 1985, this new event will honour his lifelong passion for motoring. Set across six outdoor zones surrounding the Museum, the John Haynes Classic will provide a full day of displays, demonstrations, talks and activities.
At the heart of the show will be the ‘Machines and Their Manuals’ display, featuring vehicles and their Haynes Workshop Manual. Personal connection stories will be showcased alongside, offering a glimpse into the memories that the world-famous Haynes Manuals have created over the decades.

Chris Scudds, CEO at Haynes Motor Museum said, “This is going to be a very special day and quite rightly so, as it honours and celebrates John’s legacy and his passion for the motor vehicle. I’m really excited to hear all the wonderful manual related stories people have and cannot wait for them to be shared on the day. With the other five zones as well, this is going to be an unmissable show!”
Other show highlights include the ‘Owners’ Car Zone’, where car clubs and hundreds of classic and modern classic cars will create a spectacular backdrop. As well as the Motorcycle Zone which will showcase both iconic classic models and the latest innovations in motorcycling.
The Live Stage will host expert talks, debates, live music and a special classic car parade, including guest speakers Edd China from Wheeler Dealers and Jon Bentley from The Gadget Show.
Families can enjoy the Discovery Zone, packed with hands-on workshops, engaging demonstrations and interactive STEM activities designed to spark curiosity in visitors of all ages.
Finally, the outdoor Market will showcase a carefully curated selection of food, drink and craft stalls from local producers and artisans, alongside automotive exhibitors offering everything from memorabilia to motoring services.
As an Arts Council England accredited Museum and charity, the John Haynes Classic is a fundraising event. Proceeds will support the Museum’s charitable aims: delivering learning activities, inspiring future generations, and conserving and preserving its motoring heritage collection.
Tickets are available exclusively through the John Haynes Classic website.
