Natalie Cassidy has been on our television screens for over three decades, most memorably as Sonia in EastEnders. But as she begins a new chapter of her life, away from Albert Square, her memoir, Happy Days allows her to share her candid reflections on grief and loss, her personal journey with body confidence and image, and the experience of raising two strong daughters in a world that often judges those who are in the spotlight. A treasure trove of stories and entertaining moments, Natalie also speaks about joy amid hardship, balancing life as a working mum, and even the acting lessons she received from the legendary June Brown.
Natalie rose to fame when she appeared as Sonia Fowler in the BBC’s EastEnders in 1993 at the age of ten. Natalie has made guest appearances in Psychoville, Mandy, Motherland and Boarders. She reached the semi-final of The Masked Singer as Bush, as well as taking part in Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Big Brother. She is the host of the hit podcast, Life with Nat, and co-hosts Off the Telly with Joanna Page.
Gaby Roslin is a radio and TV broadcaster who became a household name while presenting The Big Breakfast on Channel 4. She currently hosts her own show on BBC Radio London.
F1’s Academy’s Susie Wolff in conversation, Friday 24 October, 7pm, Bath Pavilion
Former racing driver and Managing Director of F1 Academy Susie Wolff lifts the bonnet on her incredible journey to the top of motorsport.
From the moment her parents first sat her in a go-kart, Susie felt it: the thrill of speed, the spark of something bigger. A little girl who dared to dream of racing on the grid.
The journey was tough, one of grit, instinct, and refusing to quit, but one day she was handed the opportunity of a lifetime - 25 laps in an F1 car. She knew chances like that didn’t come often, and when they did, you had to grab them.
When her time behind the wheel ended, Susie didn’t stall – she pivoted. Taking over a struggling Formula E team, she took it from the back of the grid to championship contention, and demonstrated her skills as a business leader.
F1 Academy became her next mission: to inspire young women to enter motorsport and help shape the future of the sport she loves.
Now, to celebrate her debut book Driven, Susie tells her story in her own words. She reflects on the triumphs and setbacks of her career, her move into leadership, and how she’s balanced ambition, motherhood, and her relationship with her husband Toto Wolff.
