For anyone who has ever wondered what it feels like to be tucked inside a hot air balloon as it dances through the sky, wonder no more. A new immersive attraction 'In The Clouds' will be open throughout the event weekend, from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 August, inviting adventurers to step inside a cold-inflated hot air balloon.
While wandering through the balloon, an immersive soundscape and film will captivate visitors and celebrate Bristol’s rich heritage and connection to the world of hot air ballooning. The new attraction is free to enter but visitors are encouraged to make a donation to the not-for-profit, free event if they are able.
The second new attraction, ‘Flight Control’, in partnership with GWR, will enable visitors to see where the balloons landing after taking off from the event’s launch field. Following each flight, a map will be populated with all the landing locations, highlighting the reach of the event beyond Ashton Court Estate.
Now in its 47th year, Bristol’s iconic, free-to-attend event returns to Ashton Court Estate from Friday, 8 August to Sunday 10 August to celebrate the city and its heritage links to the remarkable world of hot air ballooning.
