Based at either Leigh Court, Bristol or Park House, Swindon with hybrid working (at least 1 – 2 days per week in the office).  With travel between sites.


Full time 37 hours per week, although we are happy to consider part time of 30 hours per week.

Are you a detail-driven finance professional with experience in sales ledger and a passion for keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant – Sales Ledger to support our busy finance department in maintaining accurate sales ledger records, processing payments, reconciling accounts, and supporting various financial operations across Business West.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive team.


Main duties:

  • Managing the Sales Ledger and finance inboxes.
  • Processing remittance advices, card payments, refunds, Direct Debits, and credit notes.
  • Posting and allocating cash receipts and reconciling bank accounts.
  • Raising and posting invoices across multiple business areas.
  • Managing Global Business Innovation Programme (GBIP) accounts and invoicing.
  • Updating and reconciling Carnet documentation and deposit records.
  • Performing monthly reconciliations of bank and balance sheet accounts.
  • Supporting with reporting and year-end financial preparation.
  • Responding to finance-related queries from customers and internal teams.


Key skills and experience required:

  • Previous experience in a Sales Ledger Finance role
  • Part qualified AAT or equivalent qualification
  • Experience using Access Dimensions or similar accounting package
  • Good working knowledge of Word and Excel (Pivot tables ,VLOOKUP, Sum, Count,  IF Statements etc).
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
