The charity partners (decided by a staff vote) for 2024 were…

  • Children’s Hospice South West
  • Bristol Mind
  • Southmead Hospital Charity
  • Great Western Air Ambulance Charity

Throughout the year, the charities were treated to a number of benefits such as – a VIP Box for the pantomime, being featured in brochures and the ATG Entertainment website, exposure on the Bristol Hippodrome social media channels, fundraising opportunities and more!

Emma Breach, CEO of Bristol Mind says, “We’ve been delighted to have the Bristol Hippodrome as our charity of the year for 2024/5, thank you so much for supporting us.  Through the partnership, we received complimentary box tickets for fantastic shows and were able to use these to reward our hard-working staff and volunteers, and as entries to our Blue Monday Prize Draw in January 2025. This raised a total of £2,322 with 148 supporters entering the draw.”

Amanda Leonard at Children’s Hospice South West says, “We have been thrilled to have been supported by the Hippodrome during 2024.  Over £9,000 has been raised during this year through bucket collecting, displaying QR codes and donation machines on the bar during performances, along with members of Hippodrome staff taking on tough challenges and raising sponsorship money. An amount like this could enable us to fund a children's nurse at Charlton Farm for two months providing essential round the clock care to babies children and young people with life limiting conditions.”

Tom Howorth, Communications and PR manager at Southmead Hospital Charity says, “We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to The Bristol Hippodrome for their generosity and support throughout our Charity of the Year partnership. Thanks to their generous support, we’re able to fund specialist equipment and family facilities in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Southmead Hospital — helping give the tiniest and most vulnerable patients the best possible start in life.”

A spokesperson from the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity says, “Everyone at the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity is incredibly grateful for the support we've received from the Bristol Hippodrome. The generosity we received has helped us make a real difference in our mission to save more lives in Bristol and beyond. It’s been a privilege to be one of your Charity Partners, and we’re truly thankful for the unwavering commitment and compassion you've shown throughout.

The Bristol Hippodrome will announce it’s chosen charities for 2025 soon.
