Bamboo is a spectacular new high-impact, high-skill outdoor circus production using only bamboo and human bodies – a meaningful performance with live music, comedy, and amazing feats of strength and agility on an improbable bamboo playground. It is a NoFit State production directed by Mish Weaver, in collaboration with Orit Azaz and Imagineer Productions, currently in creation in Bristol. Local Bristol residents will be among the first to see the new production and be invited to enjoy a preview before it sets off to tour festivals and towns across the UK and Europe this year.

Welsh National Opera’s brand-new production of Britten’s Death in Venice, staged in collaboration with NoFit State, comes to the Bristol Hippodrome on 27 April following rave critical reviews. SABOTAGE director Firenza Guidi is the circus Director for Death in Venice, which brings dramatic circus skills together with outstanding opera to tell the story of a writer tortured by his own thoughts, and battling his own desire.
