Bath's much-admired Indian restaurant Bandook has won the 'Best Restaurant' accolade at the prestigious Bath Life Awards 2024.

From its opening in 2019 in Bath’s fashionable Milsom Place, Bandook has been the name to reckon with when it comes to the city’s famed restaurants and none more so than now as it scoops the Best Restaurant honour at the esteemed Bath Life Awards 2024.

Held at the iconic Bath Pavillion, the well-attended event boasted a number of new and established businesses amongst its nominees, including Bandook. The restaurant claimed the top prize, much to the jubilation of the audience as Bandook has forged a reputation for being one of the finest places to dine at, thanks to its well-honed mix of authentic, casual dining Indian street food dishes and inventive signature items with their own inimitable modernist twists.

Moe Rahman, Bandook’s Managing Director and Owner, said: “I feel so lucky yet so honoured by this award, and who knows with all that hard work, not just from myself, but also my highly industrious team, perhaps it was just the right time for us to get recognition from the high echelons of this magnificent city. The interesting thing is that when we first opened, it was just before COVID and like so many businesses, it was an awful time. However, we came through it with Bandook now doing better than ever and this award proves as much.”

Bandook’s celebrations don’t just end here. The award heralds the beginning of a great new year for the restaurant, with a talented new Head Chef in the kitchen and a new menu coming soon.
