A year in the making, Wake The Tiger’s OUTERverse officially opened its doors to the public today, Friday 2 February 2024. The award-winning Amazement Park’s®️ expansion has transcended beyond Meridia to welcome all those seeking to voyage into the OUTERverse and travel through 15 brand new unique art spaces and environments.

Wake The Tiger’s out-of-this-world expansion has added an extra 1,000 sqm of walk-though fantasy to the current experience. A labyrinth of exploration for both the young and young at heart, these 15 new spaces will challenge perceptions. A soul-searching experience, the OUTERverse takes visitors on a limit-pushing voyage where adventure is not just a destination, but a state of mind.

Visitors should prepare for a multitude of captivating spaces from the moment they transcend to the OUTERverse. This ‘transcendence’ begins as visitors depart the world of Meridia and step through the Transition Station, elevated to the Inter-Dimensional Boarding Gate. You will be greeted by an IDB Travel Agent who will guide you on your journey. At this point, open your mind to leave for the OUTERverse.

The epicentre of the OUTERverse, Aetheria, promotes personal discovery. Visitors are invited to relax and explore multiple layers appealing to their curiosity and creativity. Celestial, immersive, cosmic and spiritual, visitors should expect to explore the spaces, before bracing themself for an exhilarating descent back to Earth 2.0 with a seven-metre-high twisting and turning slide descent back to reality.

The OUTERverse plays home to a selection of unique creative installations, including a segment from an actual plane, a cosmic kitsch-en and various nostalgic childhood toys. Throughout the adventure, passengers can also pause for a moment of tranquillity in a chamber inspired by the natural beauty of crystals and have their minds well and truly dazzled in a sea of black and white geometry.

Having cemented itself as a leading attraction in the UK and showcasing the best of Bristol’s cultural and creative talent, Wake The Tiger’s new offering - which has built on the current Dream Factory experience - wholeheartedly showcases the skills of the city’s makers and creators. As per the experience pre-expansion, the OUTERverse has, where possible, aimed to incorporate salvaged and recycled materials into the design of the spaces.

Graham MacVoy, MD & Co-Founder at Wake The Tiger, said: “We’re so proud of what we have achieved over the past 18 months, and this expansion has been a fantastic journey for us all here at Wake The Tiger. Getting to work amongst such creativity and talent has been an absolute honour and we couldn’t be prouder of what’s been created here.

“Wake The Tiger truly embodies the phrase ‘you have to see it to believe it!’. Words can’t describe what to expect, so Bristol and beyond are  just going to have to come and see it for themselves… and we’re now officially open so come on down and check it out!”

Attracting 300,000 visitors since launching in July 2022, the award-winning journey of self-discovery is a must-visit for solo travellers, couples, friends and families. As well as an additional entirely new dimension to discover, Wake The Tiger also offers monthly sensory-sensitive sessions, After Hours evenings for adults-only - every other Friday - and more spectacular celebration events with DJs, live bands and out-of-this-world performers that are accessible for all.
