Bristol based company, Scarlet Oak Theatre are set to perform The Zoo That Comes To You at The Wardrobe Theatre, this Easter holiday.

A show born from the passion that its creators Jasmine Orchard and Lucia d’Inverno share surrounding animal welfare and the plight of endangered creatures, this production uses puppetry, song and physical theatre to bring the conversation about animal welfare to our next generation.

Whilst building their careers as theatre practitioners, Orchard and d’Inverno have worked with young people in a wide range of settings, schools, home education groups, baby sensory classes and youth theatres, Stagecoach and Pauline Quirk Academy. Scarlet Oak Theatre strongly believes in creating high quality theatre that invites young people and their grownups to debate and discuss, not simply to sit still and listen.

Whilst animal extinction may seem like a heavy topic to discuss with our young people, The Zoo That Comes To You is full of laughter, success stories and memorable characters. Scarlet Oak Theatre curates an experience that is hopeful and empowering. It sparks discussions as well as ensuring audience members young and old know that small actions have a ripple effect, and when people care, change happens.

Tickets are avaliable to buy from The Wardrobe Theatre website.
