The specially curated programme is aimed at singers, rappers, vocalists and MC’s based in Bristol. Running in partnership with some of the city’s biggest names in music and events, the search is on to find the next big names in music.

The callout will be announced on Thursday 1 February, with applications open until the deadline on Thursday 22 February 2024.

Specifically aimed at emerging artists, applicants will need to submit their details - including social media handles, examples of their work and live performances - via the application form that can be found on both the Bristol Beacon website and Team Love website.

With only limited spaces, five successful applicants will take part in a week-long programme to develop their skills and talent. This will include 1-1 mentoring sessions with industry producers and vocalists at Pirate Studios, previous mentors include big Bristol names such as: Eva Lazarus, Res One, Sam Interface, Dread MC, Fiyahdred and N.Y.T.A

Following that, the successful applicants will then participate in industry workshops to develop their music industry understanding, hosted by the likes of design studio HeyWhat and independent event production company Team Love. Following that, applicants will then take part in a public showcase and performance at Bristol Beacon in front of a live audience and industry professionals who will provide feedback aimed at helping them progress their careers. If that wasn’t exciting enough, the programme will then culminate in a performance at Love Saves The Day Festival at Ashton Court, followed by festival bookings throughout the summer.

This project has been specially designed to help springboard grassroot artist’s careers and place them into professional situations which will build confidence and develop their future performance skills. With industry support from some prolific Bristol artists and guidance from partners, the hope is that young artists will be able to take their music careers to the NEXT LEVEL.

We would also like to thank Out of Hand for their help in promotion of the programme.

To apply, head to the application form before the deadline on February 22nd 2024.
