Following sell-out shows in 2017 & 2019 with his first show, Riding Life, Hans ‘No Way’ Rey will be returning to the UK in spring 2024 to tour a new 'audience with' style show MTB Mishaps & Mayhem, which will perform at 17 venues across the country.

A pioneer of extreme Mountain Biking and Trials riding, Hans is considered by many to be the original ‘Freerider’. A former Trials World Champion, inducted into the Mountain Bike Hall of Fame in 1999 and renowned for his incredible bike displays – including his jump over a car on an LA freeway - Hans is one of the best-known mountain bikers both inside and outside of the sport, having performed in front of 3.5 billion viewers worldwide as part of an extreme sports act during the 1996 Olympic Games closing ceremony.

One of the leading figures to have helped propel mountain biking from the niche sport it was, in the 1980s, to the major activity millions now enjoy across the globe, Hans is named first as a major inspiration to the likes of Danny MacAskill and Martyn Ashton.

Following his retirement from competition in 1997, Hans formed the ‘Hans Rey Adventure Team’ – which involves a vast range of mountain biking adventures, from biking across Iceland with British Downhill legend Steve Peat, to completing the first bike descent of Mount Kenya – and now Hans returns to bring all the ‘behind-the-scenes’ stories, from a 30-year career, of everything that goes wrong on these types of adventures, to stages across the UK, presented by Speakers from the Edge in association with Shimano, Visit Laguna Beach and Leighton Vans, and supported by Deuter

In Mishaps & Mayhem, Hans will take audiences through the entertaining stories and highlights of his incredible career, including the ‘mishaps and mayhem’ of organising, undertaking and filming mountain bike adventures across the globe, from Botswana to Mexico, from Hong Kong to Los Angeles and Iceland to Ireland!

Mishaps & Mayhem is heading to 16 theatres across the country, including Bristol’s Redgrave Theatre, on Friday, 29 March – to book tickets, contact the Box Office on 0117 315 7800 / redgravetheatre.com, or, for further details, visit speakersfromtheedge.com
