Côte Restaurant in Bristol’s Clifton Village has reopened after a major refurbishment creating an environment to bring people together to enjoy the delights of French cuisine.

The restaurant was closed while the work was completed and re-opened on Monday 20 November with a VIP champagne rendezvous to celebrate the stunning new look.

The refurbishment was driven by Côte’s commitment to continually enhance shared experiences and the redesign has created a space that exudes warmth and elegance and also provides more comfort, ensuring every visit is a memorable occasion.

The revamped layout provides extra space around your table and more room to mingle, ensuring every seat feels like the best in the house. Côte also has new, warm lights, plants, mirrors, a brand new bar and a decadent cheese counter filled with thirteen of France’s most fantastique fromages ready to elevate your dining experience.

The refurbishment process spanned several weeks, meticulously crafting the new layout. The larger tables accommodate more guests, ensuring that gatherings with family and friends are even more enjoyable. The design reflects a perfect blend of French sophistication and coziness, creating an ambiance that goes beyond a meal; it's about sharing moments, laughter, and stories with your favourite people.

The much loved Côte is situated in Clifton in the heart of the vibrant suburb of Clifton Village. Just a stone’s throw from iconic Bristol landmarks like the Clifton Suspension Bridge and Observatory Viewpoint, the expansive restaurant sits right on the corner of The Mall, amongst the independent boutiques, colourful streets and Georgian architecture of Clifton Village. Côte is proud to offer a French dining experience in Bristol to rival that of any Parisienne bistro.

Ashley Hamilton, Operations Managing Director for Côte, said: “We've taken the heart of Côte and given it a makeover that not only captures the essence of French conviviality but amplifies it. Our refreshed spaces are designed to make every visit feel like a celebration, with more room, more comfort and more reasons to linger. We can't wait for you to experience the new Côte in Clifton Village - it's not just a reopening, it's an invitation to a reimagined journey with us. With these refurbishments, we want Côte to be a point of reference for our local communities that feels like home and celebrate life and food, just like the French do.”

Côte’s core belief is quality food, freshly prepared seasonal ingredients, served with respect and enjoyed in relaxed, stylish surroundings which has inspired the company since 2007. Now, with more than 80 Côte restaurants across the UK, the menu designed by Steve Allen, Gordon Ramsay’s former Executive Chef, has evolved to encompass the timeless French classics guests know and love, alongside new dishes that capture the excitement of contemporary French cuisine. What Côte brings to the table will always be the very best it can be. And that’s always been Côte’s promise – because in France, they wouldn’t do it any other way.

Cote’s Executive chef Steve Allen has worked at Michelin starred restaurants, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, Petrus and opened Gordon Ramsay at Claridges which won a Michelin star within its first year.

Steve Allen said: “I have been cooking French cuisine since the age of 13, and our menu is a reflection of everything I love about French food. Our main focus is and always will be about the taste of our food at Cote. Simple, yet complex and delicious.”

Côte is not just a place to dine; it's an experience waiting to be embraced. With expanded sharing options, and an extensive drinks menu with exciting cocktails and an impressive selection of exclusively French wines, we're inviting you to rediscover joy in shared moments, exceptional cuisine, and impeccable hospitality.
