The Role

Arnolfini Gallery is looking for a Bookshop Assistant to join their busy team, providing a welcoming, safe and accessible service, delivering excellent customer service and retail assistance to all visitors.

You will be the first point of contact for customers to the Bookshop, providing a warm welcome and excellent customer service to visitors.


The post holder will possess a good knowledge of the books and products available in the bookshop and ensure the smooth transaction of sales and accurate stock maintenance.


You will also have an interest in contemporary art or cultural organisations. 

Working Hours: Working 2 out of every 3 weekends. (Two 6-hour shifts Saturday and Sunday) and one 8 hour shift on a weekday 10.30am – 6.30pm.


Flexibility will be required to provide holiday cover annually and to cover occasional unplanned leave and sickness.


Contract: Permanent


Salary: £21,840 per annum (paid on a pro-rata basis) £10.50 per hour.
