Nick-named “Etsy for food”, All About The Cooks is an online marketplace founded in Bristol, which makes it deliciously easy for people across the city to eat real food made by local people, all in the comfort of their own homes. For a very limited time only, the team are taking All About The Cooks offline and offering an IRL (in real life…) series of pop-up supper clubs at Clifton-based café, Starlings, at the start of November.

The supper clubs will launch on Thursday 2 and run until Saturday 4 November at the Bristol Life Award 2023 nominated venue. Home-cooks from the city will bring family-taught dishes and home-perfected flavours to the venue, for an unmissable extended weekend of mouth-watering moments. Tickets are on sale now at: https://allaboutthecooks.co.uk/cook/supper-clubs/

Each evening will kick off at 7.00pm, showcasing the best of Bristol’s home-cooked food scene at the venue that consistently hosts sold out supper clubs.

At its core, All About The Cooks enables home-cooking enthusiasts hungry to share their love for home-cooked food with even hungrier local people, with menus and dishes from across the world, all prepared right here in Bristol. Kicking off the supper club series at Starlings will be Zainab from Pakistan, who will be sharing her joy and passion for home-cooked, family style dishes on Thursday 2nd November.

Guests can expect to tuck into 3-courses of authentic Pakistani food, including a tangy Chana Chaat to start and a main of either Tikka Masala, or her signature vegan dish, Aloo Gobi, before they tuck into a Gulab Jamun for dessert - a heavenly sweet dessert originating from the Indian subcontinent.

On Friday 3rd November home-cook, Tomer, will be combining the many different culinary influences from his upbringing in Tel-Aviv to prepare the ultimate Middle-Eastern feast. The Bishopston-based home-cook will be offering up Challah bread bruschetta to start, a choice of either lamb shoulder or a herby grilled mixed vegetable flatbread for main - and pudding will be Honey Cake with honeycomb and caramalised apple, or the traditional Middle-Eastern vegan dessert, Mahlabi, so come hungry!

For the final evening on Saturday 4th November, three Latin American home-cooks in Bristol will be joining forces to bring you 3-courses of flavours from the region. Mireya, Indira & Ximena, will be using their Chilean, Brazilian and Cuban roots to transport guests’ tastebuds to South America from Clifton. With a sweet potato, mint and corn croquette, served with coriander sauce and mushroom ceviche to kick off the evening, the main event is a hearty Feijoada – a black bean stew with pork loin and sausage, served with Latin American sides and meat free sausages for the veggies out there! If there’s still room, dessert is a delightfully zesty Lemon Meringue Pie – a recipe from Ximena’s grandma.

Tickets are on sale now over at https://allaboutthecooks.co.uk/cook/supper-clubs/ with three courses available from £25.

All About The Cooks isn’t just about sharing home-cooked food from local cooks with local people - it’s about sharing stories, memories and a love of real food, which makes people feel good.
