Wright will bring Father Christmas to life as he brings his ever-popular production of BS3 Santa to Bath for the very first time. Experienced at entertaining all ages with his own brand of improvisation and audience involvement, theatre meets ‘An Audience with Father Christmas’ in this 50-minute interactive show.

Created by Wright, one of Bristol’s top comic theatre performers, in the height of the COVID pandemic in 2020, BS3 Santa was originally produced to be performed on people’s doorsteps, making it possible to bring live theatre to families at Christmastime. For 2023, BS3 Santa has transformed into an enchanting, interactive show which will be performed outdoors at Bath City Farm this festive season.

This year, Wright has reunited with actor and circus artist Ben Kirby as Sven the Reindeer Handler. Guaranteed to bring a sense of joy, laughter and anticipation to all, families can expect music, sleigh bells, magic, and sack loads of Christmas surprises.

On Saturday 9 December there will be two shows of BS3 Santa at 4.30pm and 6pm at Bath City Farm in Whiteway.

Discussing coming to Bath with BS3 Santa, Stewart Wright said, "I am thrilled to bring BS3 Santa to Bath for the first time after the runaway success of performing it in various venues and locations across Bristol for the last three years. I love seeing the faces of children and parents as they step into our world to be greeted by the real Father Christmas and Sven the Reindeer Handler. There is a special kind of magic in Bath at Christmas when the city sparkles with glittering lights and the streets are filled with festive spirit. From magical city illuminations to special artisan treats– I can’t think of a better place to enjoy the festive season!

There is nothing more thrilling than the pure excitement, joy, and laughter from an audience, especially at Christmastime. Santa and Sven loved their time doing shows in Bristol over the last three years; being able to share the magic with so many local children and families was wonderful. We cannot wait to meet new children and families in Bath this year, with our updated, magical Christmas show.”

BS3 Santa isn’t the only way for Bath families to watch Stewart Wright perform this festive season. Last year he filmed the role of Barney Postie in Netflix’s family-friendly Christmas comedy Christmas on Mistletoe Farm, which is available to watch via the streaming service. Written and directed by Debbie Isitt (creator of the Nativity! franchise), Wright plays the village postman among an all-star cast including Ashley Jenson (After Life), Celia Imrie (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel) and Kathryn Drysdale (Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps). Wright also starred in Nativity 3: Dude, Where’s My Donkey?, which is available to watch via Amazon Prime. Wright plays the character of Uncle Henry who runs a hotel in New York, among a cast including Martin Clunes (Doc Martin) and Catherine Tate (The Catherine Tate Show).
