Bristol’s slice of the golden age is cosying up for the colder months, with a fresh autumnal menu of exquisite lunch, brunch, boards and bites to pair perfectly with its famed cocktails. Launching on Wednesday 13 September, the Harbourside-hotspot will be adding a Rick’s twist to classic dishes such as French onion soup, as well as introducing tasty toasties and a signature charcuterie board.

The carefully curated menu of comforting cuisine will have diners welcoming the turning of the leaves with a glass of wine and warming cocktails, a selection of refined artisanal bites all whilst cosying up next to an open wood fire from 12pm until 4pm every Wednesday until Saturday, and from 10am until 5.30pm on Sunday.

Available from Wednesday - Sunday, brunch and lunch will be getting a seasonal make-over. Guests can expect eggs Florentine, spinach, toasted muffin and Hollandaise, native oysters with Granny Smith apple & shallot relish, aubergine shakshuka with corn tostada alongside a number of other seasonal delicacies. Cosy with a sophisticated spin, all dishes on the new menu are crafted with local and fresh ingredients such as meat from Nigel Buxton and seafood from Kingfishers Brixham as well as other local independents.

For those looking for something to satisfy the soul, the new toastie menu at Rick’s will provide the perfect pick-me-up. Available Wednesday to Sunday, these stove-top-sourdough-delights will be hard to resist with a choice of honey roast ham, Somerset Brie and Dijon mustard, or Buxton Butcher beef brisket, Westcombe cheddar, red onion and jalapeño salsa. A vegan option of vegan mozzarella, sun-blushed tomatoes, roasted red pepper and basil pesto is also on offer.

Taking guests from day to night and adding to the already sensational selection of sharing bites, the finest charcuterie will also be on offer to enjoy alongside Rick’s bespoke cocktails. For £16, guests can tuck into a West Country cheese board with Bath blue, Somerset camembert, Westcombe cheddar, Tor goats cheese, fig chutney, grapes, crackers and focaccia, or for £22, sample Rick’s signature charcuterie board of Jamón Serrano, salami Milano, chorizo reserve picante and chicken liver pate.

Mehmet Kandemir, General Manager at The Bristol, says:

“We count ourselves lucky to be situated along the waterfront and have loved watching our guests enjoy dining alfresco throughout this great British summer. As we enter the colder months, we’ve created a warm and welcoming atmosphere which will be perfect for sitting back and relaxing with a tipple and toastie. What’s better than relaxing next to a burning fire and sipping on some cocktails? And with our terrace overlooking the water, we have outdoor heaters and some cosy blanket to huddle under for anyone wanting to watch the world go by.”

Classic cocktails will also be available to order, along with local beers and organic, vegan-friendly wines.

The new Rick’s menu will be available from Wednesday 13  September. Stay in the loop with news and offers online at www.ricksbarbristol.com and @ricksbarbristol on Instagram.
