Today, Bristol Hippodrome, unveiled more star cast for this year’s swashbuckling pantomime adventure, Peter Pan.

Leading the cast will be renowned British actor and TV detective, David Suchet in the iconic role of Captain Hook. Suchet had international acclaim and recognition following his performance as Agatha Christie's detective Hercule Poirot in Agatha Christie's Poirot (1989–2013). For which he received a 1991 British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) nomination. David says – “I can’t wait to make my panto debut for Crossroads Pantomimes at Bristol Hippodrome this Christmas. Having spent my life in theatre and TV I know just how important panto is as the first experience of theatre for thousands of young people each year, and it’s going to be a lot of fun to take on the part of the ultimate panto villain as Captain Hook - look out Peter Pan!”

Joining him is Steps singer and musical theatre star Faye Tozer as The Magical Mermaid.

Outside of the Steps-phere, Faye Tozer has also enjoyed an extensive theatre career, starring to great acclaim in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s one-woman musical Tell Me On A Sunday and Singin’ in the Rain at London’s Sadler’s Wells. In 2018, Faye took part in the sixteenth series of BBC1’s primetime show, Strictly Come Dancing. Coupled with Giovanni Pernice, the pair sashayed into the final and wowed audiences with their incredible footwork, only narrowly missing out on winning the coveted glitter ball trophy. Faye is currently on tour in 42nd Street playing the role of Maggie Jones.

Faye said “I’m very excited to be spending Christmas in Bristol this year and to perform as The Magical Mermaid. I had so much fun last year in panto in Nottingham, that I can’t wait to take on a new role in Peter Pan at the fantastic Bristol Hippodrome”.

Alongside David and Faye will be Bristol panto favourite Andy Ford as Smee marking his 11th pantomime appearance at the Bristol Hippodrome. One of pantomime’s most successful comedians Andy has appeared on stages across the UK entertaining thousands of theatregoers with his quick-wit, physical routines and humour, winning rave-reviews and legions of fans wherever he performs.

Andy shared his excitement about returning by saying “I am so excited to be returning to the magnificent Bristol Hippodrome this year and can't wait to be stepping out onto that famous stage again in the magical pantomime... Peter Pan! See you all there this Christmas!”

And starring as Mrs. Smee cabaret star Ceri Dupree. Ceri said “I am very much looking forward to being at Bristol Hippodrome this Christmas in Peter Pan. It was the first theatre I visited to see my first big pantomime in 1982 starring one of my idols Danny La Rue so I can't wait to be on that stage performing there too.”

Chief Executive of Crossroads Pantomimes, Michael Harrison said “We’re absolutely delighted that the brilliant and talented David Suchet will be leading the cast of Peter Pan this Christmas. Coupled with the superb vocals of Faye Tozer, the comedy of Andy Ford and the brilliant stage presence and costumes of Ceri Dupree, Peter Pan is guaranteed to be a must-see show for all the family this Christmas”.

Ben Phillips, Theatre Director at The Bristol Hippodrome says, “We are so thrilled to have such an excellent cast lined up for this year’s pantomime, Peter Pan.
