Throughout autumn, visitors to Newark Park in Gloucestershire will be able to discover the season through art, with a sculpture exhibition running until 29 October and a ‘wild art’ trail until 5 November.

Local artists are once again exhibiting their pieces around the National Trust garden, all inspired by nature. The sculptures range from smaller pottery and mosaics to larger kinetic structures. Each has been chosen to complement the surroundings; some reflect the golden light flooding the valley, while others are focused on the range of wildlife found in the area.

Emily Poulter, Visitor Experience Officer at Newark Park said: ‘We’re delighted to once more be hosting a range of talented local artists. The pieces they’ve created this year are fantastic and will add a new dimension to anyone exploring the early autumn colour in the garden.’

All pieces are available to purchase directly from the artists; further information can be found on the Newark Park website or by picking up a brochure from Visitor Reception on arrival.

Families will also have the opportunity to take some creative inspiration from the natural world.

The colours, textures and shapes of the season make for some great craft ideas, and visitors keen to get crafting can collect a leaflet with details of how to make their own.

There are also wild art creations scattered around the garden to find, as well as some activities for those looking to get more hands-on.

The house, garden, estate and Tea Pavilion at Newark Park are open daily throughout September and October. The exhibition is free, normal admission applies.
