The Role: 

This role will sit across a dedicated section of the estate; Supporting the onsite teams in creation of Strategic Sales Plans, supported by the Sales Director with a view to increasing organic and pre-booked revenue, via predominately pro-active sales.

Place of Work:

You will work primarily from sites in your area, with some home working, 25-30 hours a week during office hours, primarily Monday to Friday.  Some evenings and weekends may be worked for relevant in-venue activity. 

Sites are all based in the South West: Cardiff, Mumbles, Bristol, Exeter & Bath.

Job overview:

The role includes the creation and delivery of a proactive site sales plan to consistently grow the pre-booked business of CPG within your nominated venues.  You will be liaising with Ops Managers & General Managers to ensure the best ways of working are maintained, and an agreed sales strategy is in place for each quarter.  You will be supported in this by the Head of Sales.

You will primarily drive new bookings into the business through new and existing local relationships, our existing bookings database, and generating new leads via proactive outreach such as networking and FAM trips. During peak times of the year, you may be required to assist the Head of Central Sales and the teams on sites, with the high volume of enquiries and to help set a standard for consistent pro-active sales.  You will also help sites make efficiency & quality improvements to their existing booking processes, following regular catchups with the, Head of Sales, GM’s and/or Ops Managers.

We are fully committed to giving you training, support and mentoring to develop you fully into the role.  The role requires you to be self-motivated, a strong planner, good communicator with the ability to multi-task and you must have great attention to detail.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • To work with the Sales Director & Head of Sales to develop and execute the sales strategy for your individual sites.
  • Although the role will be predominantly proactive you may be required seasonally to assist with reactive leads.  You will handle these with an emphasis on upselling and forming a strong relationship with the client with a goal to have them visit more of your venues. 
  • Weekly reporting on proactive sales using the agreed key headlines.
  • Quarterly reporting on proactive sales and the Bookings Managers performance against the business targets / needs.
  • Developing and maintaining good working relationships with the Ops Managers and GMs to support the smooth delivery of the strategic sales plans.
  • To act in accordance with the agreed project work tasks and timelines agreed with the Head of Sales.
  • To deliver the Sales Strategy and to implement said strategy to the highest possible standard.
  • To organise & attend networking events, meeting and venue show arounds with prospective clients.
  • To actively use social media to drive awareness and engagement.
  • To be innovative and proactive at creating and implementing new ways of growing and maximising pre-booked sales and liaising with the Head of Sales.
  • To manage site visit time & meetings on weekly / monthly basis.
  • To liaise with the Central Sales Account Managers to ensure the bookings diary is managed collaboratively
  • To work with the Head of National Accounts to source and develop 3rd party relationships which can be utilised across multiple venues
  • To attend client and company meetings, presenting commercials and comprehensive updates.
  • To assist the Head of Sales on achieving agreed targets and KPIs on a quarterly basis.
  • To self-manage time, tasks, targets, and deadlines on a daily, weekly & monthly basis to achieve maximum efficiency and results.
  • To ensure a constant, consistent, and clear level of communication is always upheld both internally and externally.

  • Generating new leads and making people aware of our sites who haven’t visited them before
  • To actively contribute to the City Pub Co culture, including sales ideas and activity creation.
