Boorish Trumpson is a power-grabbing rehearsal conductor, who will stop at nothing to gain ultimate control over
the orchestra. And YOU are the orchestra. With clowning games, audience interaction and unexpected orchestral manipulations, Boorish Trumpson plays with his audience in an attempt to assert his ultimate power grab.

The unique sound design, virtuosic physicality and playful absurdity of the piece (not to mention a script constructed from verbatim Donald Trump and Boris Johnson quotes) creates a raucous humour whilst the bigger questions bubble below: in our world of troubled politics, how complicit are we in enabling such figures to rise to the top?

Critically acclaimed lecoq-trained trained clown Claire Parry’s latest show BOORISH TRUMPSON is heading out on its 2023 tour. After a successful run at VAULT festival 2023 London, The Wardrobe Theatre is BOORISH TRUMPSON 3rd stop on their 7 venue tour. This is Claire Parry’s second solo show following her debut of Intolerable Side Effects in 2019, which went down as “a hilarious take on one of the most stark issues in the lives of modern women” (Wee Review ★★★★).

Following her physical theatre training at Lecoq and her comedy training in the North Wall Oxford’s Arts Labs programme she has been pursuing both comedy and theatre in London and was a recipient of Pleasance LABS support for the R&D of Boorish Trumpson. She also works as an actor, director, musical director and movement director - and takes an equally interdisciplinary approach to her own work. Claire is also hosting a THE FOOLS TOOLBOX workshop for theatre makers in Bristol, at The Wardrobe Theatre on 16 Sept - 2-6pm. Tickets are pay what you can starting from £2.50 and places can be booked via Eventbrite.
