Salary circa £25,000 a year per annum depending on experience

Full time hours, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. 

Based in Old Market.

Qualifications

• AAT Qualified

• Ideally with manufacturing experience

• Experience of using Xero and ideally supporting apps such as Dext and ApprovalMax.

Full Job Description

The Finance Assistant you will report to the Finance Controller and ensure that all monthly bookkeeping processes run smoothly, accurately and in a timely manner. You will work closely with department managers and key stakeholders within the business. 

Main responsibilities

• Maintain bank reconciliations.

• Run purchase ledger; ensure accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices with the supporting documentation for payment. Prepare payment runs. Respond to supplier queries promptly and professionally.

• Run sales ledger; ensure accurate and timely processing of customer invoices. Chase overdue debt to ensure timely payment.

• Run the monthly stock take. Review stock levels and support the Financial Controller with stock analysis.

• Run monthly payroll.

• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register.

• Support the Financial Controller with month end financial reporting; preparing account reconciliations, accruals and prepayment analysis.
