On 4 July the bridge will be closed for the installation of the new barriers during off peak hours (9.30-3.30pm). A diversion route will be signed using Bridge Valley Road, Brunel Way and Beggar Bush Lane. From 3.30pm on 4th July to 8.00pm on 5th July there will only be one lane operational in each direction which may cause some delays. Motorists are advised to allow extra time for travel.
Following this installation, the £1 toll can be paid by debit or credit card, bridge card or by Samsung, Google or Apple Pay. No coin payments will be accepted.
