Cheltenham-based art collective’s Squidsoup exhibition, Beyond Submergence, will showcase several of its show stopping artworks and never-before-seen pieces at St Philips’ cultural destination, Propyard, this summer. Alongside the spectacular exhibits, visitors can also look forward to wellness experiences amongst the light shows. Named Submerge, classes include yoga, breathwork, pilates and more with some of the UK’s best wellness mentors.

Tickets are already available and selling fast for the highly-anticipated exhibition, which will span across 20,000sq ft. of Propyard’s vast industrial canvas. Enhancing the experience ever further, guests will be welcomed to explore their sights and senses through a series of wellness sessions based amongst the lights.

Submerge has been curated by Pip Roberts of Now Studio, based in Easton. The wellbeing programme will see a diverse range of practitioners from Bristol and beyond host specialist classes amongst the exhibition. One such session will welcome Pip and Laura Taylor, both of whom are sound facilitators and enthusiasts of rest, as they offer practices to support in achieving successful rest in the unique setting of the installations. Attendees are invited to join Pip and Laura for this restful session Wednesday 5 July between 7 - 8.30pm.

“Come and lay yourself down and allow the lights behind your closed eyes to add to the cosmic magic that is a sound bath. Expect Gongs, bowls, voice, percussion and more to take you on a journey” said Pip.

A conscious connected breathwork class will also be held by Jamie Clements, founder of The Breath Space. Jamie has helped top entrepreneurs, politicians, athletes and more with his life changing breathwork. He believes that breathwork is the most universal and powerful tool that we all have access to, to change our minds and live healthier, happier lives.

“Together, we'll be exploring Conscious Connected Breathwork to tap into an altered state of consciousness that can be incredibly profound, healing and bring a deep sense of connection to yourself and others”, said Jamie.

Elsewhere, attendees can join yoga teacher Annie Clarke for a guided movement and breath practice on Wednesday 27 September between 7 - 8.30pm. This time together in shared intention will invite attendees to find flow in themselves and in community, self exploration and curiosity.

Each session will elevate Squidsoup’s exhibition, which is the first and only of its kind, as it creates a sensory journey like no other. Typical of the group’s design approach, the sprawling installation will be tailored to the specific architect of Propyard’s venue in St Philips.

Shanti Faiia, the founder of Embodied Spirit will also host a breathwork session on Wednesday 16th August between 7 - 8:30pm. “We all have so much on our plates that it can seem there is no time to stop and take a breath. This workshop combines yoga, ceremony, and breathwork practices and will guide you to deepen your connection to your own body, your spirit, and your inner resilience and joy” said Shanti.

The Beyond Submergence wellness events, Submerge, are £35 per event for 30 minutes in the exhibition alongside an hour class. Tickets for the wellness events will cost £35 and can be purchased at https://beyondsubmergence.com/

The ultimate day out for families and art fans everywhere, Beyond Submergence’s affordable ticket prices keeps this summer activity accessible to all those who wish to experience the exhibition and immerse in its magic.
