Electronic trio LOWES are bringing their thunderous pop and unapologetic authenticity to Dareshack. Vocalist Evie Plumb and producers/multi-instrumentalists Jamie Walker and Luke Paget have several critically acclaimed records, high-profile collaborations and even a Radio 1 Dance Award for Best Dance Singer now under their belts. Pioneers of Scottish slowcore and indie rock darlings, Arab Strap invite you to join them for Philophobia Undressed – a humble celebration of the duo’s seminal 1998 album to mark the 25th anniversary of its release. The duo will be performing 12 June, 20:00 at The Fleece.

Acclaimed singer-songwriter, Steve Earle is a master storyteller in his own right, with songs recorded by Johnny Cash, Emmylou Harris, The Pretenders, and countless others. He will be performing his creations at St George’s Bristol on 22 June at 20:00 where you can enjoy his music regarded as a classic of the Americana genre.

Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Amanda Shires has made an extraordinary career out of pursuing her deepest instincts and passions. She has brought her nuanced songwriting and boundless originality to a series of critically acclaimed solo albums, collaborated with the likes of John Prine and Justin Townes Earle, toured with such acts as Todd Snider, and earned the 2017 Emerging Artist of the Year prize from the Americana Music Association (AMA). Fans can see her perform at the Exchange on the 23 June at 20:00.

Influenced at a formative age by the passion and integrity of Irish folk icons and contemporary indie/rock bands, Oscar Blue emerged with a passion for storytelling. Invoking an unsuspectingly familiar sense of belonging, attachment and nostalgia, Oscar’s songwriting and soaring guitar riffs create soundscapes like no other.  Following highs of supporting internationally acclaimed acts such as Kodaline and KAWALA, and even sold out headline shows in Dublin and London, Oscar will be performing at The Crofters Rights on 27 June at 20:00.

A guaranteed pioneering performance, Tinariwen are world-renowned for their assouf style and will be performing at SWX Saturday 15 July at 18:30. Their songs are a mix of traditional West African and Arab music with blues, folk and other influences. Far more than just a rock band, Tinariwen are ambassadors for their people and a way of life in tune with the natural world that is under threat as never before. Their message has never sounded more urgent and compelling than it does now.

The White Buffalo aka Jake Smith is embarking on a voyage of discovery and reinvention with his guitar at the O2 Academy at 20:00 on 15 July. His second-to-none reputation for the emotional weight of his music is what makes his songs of love and loss a must-see.
