Cheddar Gorge & Caves in Somerset are inviting nature lovers of all ages to go wild for wildlife and join their Spring into Nature extravaganza.

Running during the local May school half term, from 27 May to 4 June 2023 (inclusive), Spring into Nature features a fun packed and informative range of activities to keep everyone entertained.

Cheddar Gorge is the perfect place to explore, as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Join the Bat Trail taking place in Gough’s Cave, where the whole family can learn about these curious creatures on an exciting journey deep into the cave.

Spring Into Nature Activity Sheets are guaranteed to keep the kids entertained as they learn new facts and test their knowledge, and our popular arts and crafts station will be running, where kids can make their own set of binoculars to help spot the local wildlife when out on the Cliff-Top Walk.

There will be interactive nature talks in the garden at the Museum of Pre-History where visitors can discover the local flora and fauna that make the gorge their home.  We’ll be shining a light on the insects that often live in dark places out of sight but are of vital importance to all ecosystems. We’re also calling on you to help furnish, stick by stick, a mega bug hotel to encourage the local creepy crawlies to thrive.
