During the Easter Holidays, The Tiger Who Came To Tea, visits the Theatre Royal Bath’s Main House on Sunday 9th and Monday 10th April with performances at 11.30am and 2.30pm. Direct from the West End, the Olivier Award-nominated musical play, packed with magic and sing-a-long songs, is based on the beloved book by Judith Kerr, with this tour commemorating the centenary of her birth.

Recommended for everyone aged 3 years and over, family audiences are invited to join Sophie and Mummy as they receive an unexpected visit from a big striped, tea-guzzling tiger in this classic tale of teatime mayhem.

Hailed as Britain’s best-loved picture book, Judith Kerr’s timeless classic The Tiger Who Came To Tea is now entering its 55th year, selling over 5 million copies since it was first published in 1968. The stage show, adapted and directed by David Wood, premiered in 2008 and has since toured nationally and internationally, including seasons in Australia and sold out dates in the Far East. In 2012 the production was nominated for the Olivier Award for Best Family Entertainment.

Later in the week, The Blue Badge Bunch tours to The Egg on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th April at 11.30am and 3pm, bringing “The disability Taskmaster”, an entertaining gameshow which represents a different disability through each game. The performance enables audiences aged 4 years and over to learn about disabilities, including Autism and Cerebral Palsy. Hosted by Benny Shakes, who has Cerebral Palsy, alongside resident panellist Mark Nicholas and a guest comedian, the show was shortlisted for the Neurodiverse Representation Award at the Edinburgh Fringe 2022. The Blue Badge Bunch has been developed with support from New Art Exchange Nottingham, Arts Council England and Attenborough Arts Centre. All performances are Relaxed and British Sign Language Interpreted.

Also at The Egg, The Not So Grimm Twins brings a (f)un-expected family adventure on Sunday 16th April at 11.30am and 3pm. Children aged 4 years and over can experience the Grimm Brothers’ tales like never before in a show presented by Wrongsemble.
