Circumstance Distillery, the award-winning distillery known for its innovative approach to whisky making, is proud to announce the release of its first Single Grain Wheat Whisky, which is also believed to be the first ever wheat whisky from England.

This new release marks a significant milestone for Circumstance Distillery, as they expand their range of premium whiskies. The mash for this whisky used 70% malted English wheat and 30% malted English barley. The grains were fermented on Bavarian wheat yeast for 14 days. It was distilled using a copper pot still with a 4 plate copper column and was aged in first fill ex-bourbon casks for 3 years.
"We are thrilled to introduce our first-ever Single Grain Wheat Whisky, which we are sure is a unique addition to the world of whisky," said Danny Walker, co-founder of Circumstance Distillery.
"Our focus on using organic English grains and extra long fermentations has enabled us to create a whisky that marries the beautiful flavours of malted wheat with the character that Circumstance Distillery is renowned for."
"Crafting this wheat whisky has been an exciting journey for us at Circumstance Distillery. It encapsulates everything we love about making whisky and shows what a modern whisky can be." said co-founder Liam Hirt, “We are thrilled to share it with the world.”
Circumstance Distillery is committed to sustainability. They are certified organic, certified carbon neutral and a certified B Corp. The first release of Circumstance Distillery's Wheat Whisky is limited to approximately 500 bottles, each individually numbered. The whisky will be available for purchase from 10am on the 4th May from the distillery’s website.
