Valentine’s Day might be just around the corner, but The Botanist is seeking to get people excited for Pancake Day with its infamous Hanging Pancake Kebab.

Immersive bar and restaurant chain The Botanist is bringing back its signature sell-out special for the whole month of February to celebrate Shrove Tuesday.

Offering a twist on its trademark savoury hanging kebab, the cocktail bar has created three mouth-watering combinations to satisfy crepe cravings. Miniature pancakes will be hung from skewers with a choice of three different toppings they’ll be stacked up with.

And for the first time ever, the botany-inspired venue has created a seriously good savoury option. ‘The All American’ (£16.50) is stacked with fried chicken and maple bacon and served with mini hash browns and sriracha mayo.

Diners with a sweet tooth can opt for ‘The Rocky Road’ (£9.25) with Biscoff and Oreo rocky road pieces, served with strawberries, chocolate sauce and vanilla ice-cream, or ‘The Chocolate Orange’ (£8.95) with chocolate brownie chunks, orange brandy sauce and vanilla ice-cream.

Each is served with a pot of sauce made specially to drizzle down the kebab, and those fancying a sweet, syrupy, alcoholic kick can ‘add a boozy boost’ with a shot of Licor 43 for just £2.

All specials will be available from Tuesday 7 until Tuesday 28 February.

Hanging Kebab enthusiasts took to social media to show their support for the dish after the restaurant announced its month-long pancake day offering via Instagram earlier this week.
