Cheddar Gorge & Caves in Somerset will be staging an Easter Egg Hunt with a difference this April.

Set to run from 1-16 April, during local schools' Easter holidays, the hunt will feature clusters of glow-in-the-dark, coloured eggs that have been enticingly positioned throughout the world-famous Gough’s Cave.

Spotting all the bright eggs, and taking note of all the different colours, will prove to be a “hard-boiled” challenge for even the most observant of visitors, but kids and families who manage to “crack” the task and hand-in a completed form will be rewarded with a Easter-themed reward.

Participants should also keep an eye out for Richard Gough’s special Golden Egg; in the stunning Diamond Chamber.

The glowing eggs and other illuminations for the Easter period will help to add to the magical atmosphere of the caves, which have been welcoming visitors underground for decades.

Admission is included within the cost of the Day Ticket, which also includes access to Cox’s Cave featuring the Dreamhunters audio-visual experience, the Museum of Pre-History, Jacob’s Ladder and the Lookout Tower, and the Cliff-Top Walk) and is priced at: Adults (16+) £22.95, Children (5-15) £17.20 and Under 5s Free.
