This week, Jon Chamberlain is over in Washington DC representing the West of England at Destination Britain North America, Visit Britain’s flagship trade event in the region. With a full diary, Jon will be meeting with a range of tour operators and agencies looking for new products and inspiration.

These events are crucial to our work, and there will be several taking place most months between now and spring as we look to stimulate our international markets in leisure and business, while continuing our work with domestic markets.

Also in September, the Head of Visit West's convention bureau Meet Bristol and Bath, Helen Applin, will join Visit Britain on a series of corporate and association meeting appointments as part of a European sales mission in Paris and Brussels.

We will also be heading to Aberdeen for the UKInbound Convention, a vital event for networking, sales meetings and industry updates. We are thrilled that Jon Chamberlain has been nominated for the Member’s Choice Award in the UKInbound Awards for Excellence as part of the event. For more information about joining UKInbound, please visit their website, or speak to Jon or Kathryn Davis, who are UKInbound Board Members.

We are participating in a number of events for the meetings, incentive, and conference industry this autumn. These include the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) congress in Bath; CHS Birmingham exhibition with exhibiting at stand share partners Aerospace Bristol, De Vere Tortworth Court, Mercure Bristol Holland House and Thornbury Castle, exhibiting with Visit Britain stand at IBTM, Barcelona and attendance at Visit Britain’s Annual Ambassador Reception at The Royal Society London.

We are also exploring options of in-market sales missions for the travel trade in key markets later this year and early 2023 – more details will follow. We have also requested a stand at ITB in Berlin in March and have confirmed our presence at World Travel Market in November.

Please do keep in touch with new products, services and updates, as these are crucial in our ongoing presentations and business development.
