Sustainable Fashion Week will debut its catwalk show on Wednesday 21st September, at ‘The Mount Without’ venue in Bristol. Sponsored by natural cosmetics brand Benecos, the catwalk will form a core part of Sustainable Fashion Week’s event programme, which runs 16-25 September 2022.

The catwalk show will feature models dressed in a range of upcycled, vintage and sustainable clothing and expertly made-up, using make-up from benecos’ ethical beauty range.  Outfits and styling will be masterminded by 4 community partners - each highlighting one of the aspects from the week’s 4 driving themes: Regenerate, Rewear, Repurpose and Reconnect.

Lead partner, the City of Bristol College, will be representing the Reconnect theme, and will be getting models catwalk-ready using benecos’ sustainable makeup products, including the new ‘Beauty ID’ range and the Natural Jumbo Lipsticks.   The show will be hosted by Drag Queen, Astro Zenica.  Meanwhile, guests will be fuelled by Bedminster-based sponsor, KASK Wine, who will provide a variety of vegan, organically sourced welcome drinks for the event.

Catwalk guests will receive a goodie bag (worth over £35) to take away, including a benecos Beauty ID palette, plant-based Nail Polishes, a vegan Raspberry Lip Balm and Fun Size Mascara.

Tickets are on sale now for events taking place throughout Sustainable Fashion Week, including the catwalk show.

Benecos products will be on sale during the show and within The SFW Hub and market. The Benecos team will also be on hand at the SFW Hub on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 September, to help visitors try the products and learn more about the benecos brand and their sustainable values.

Sustainable Fashion Week events start on Friday 16 September, welcoming clothes swaps, panel talks, workshops, film screenings, augmented reality experiences and photo exhibitions. Taking place in locations across Bristol and online, the community-led events are accessible for all to join.

Local Bristol businesses will be sharing their love for eco-friendly fashion throughout the week too, including Loot Vintage, Sobey’s Limited and Oxfam, by offering a range of uniquely sourced, second-hand clothing to prove that pre-loved fashion is always in style.

Amelia Twine, Founder of Sustainable Fashion Week, said: “We are launching our first ever UK catwalk for Sustainable Fashion Week in Bristol this year. By showcasing how pre-loved and sustainable fashion can be worn again and again in a variety of different ways, we hope to inspire visitors to look at what they already have in their wardrobes and get creative!"
