Coppa Club is delighted to announce the launch of The Bath Townhouse. The newest addition to their growing portfolio, The Bath Townhouse will open on 16th August as Coppa Club's 11th location and their second property in the South-West of England.

The striking Grade II listed property, with a classic Georgian façade and original Art Deco features sits on Old Bond Street in the heart of Bath’s bustling shopping district. Centring around the spectacular art deco staircase, The Bath Townhouse, Coppa Club, is set across two floors, reflecting its historical design features whilst adding contemporary vision. The ground floor will host a restaurant, whilst upstairs awaits an opulent club-lounge, bar, and private dining room. The Bath Townhouse is ideally located to enjoy a quiet coffee, a lively lunch or dinner with friends, as well as drinks late into the evening. The informal yet effervescent space epitomises the essence of Coppa Club; the private members’ club feel, without the members’ club fee.

Yishay Malkov, CEO of Coppa Club, comments: “We are hugely excited to announce the opening of The Bath Townhouse in August. It’s a unique and intriguing space, characterised by its art deco staircase and Georgian façade, right in the centre of the city. We hope it will provide an exciting new offering for locals and tourists alike, a place for guests to come no matter the time of day for a fun, vibrant atmosphere. For years, private members’ clubs have monopolised the market as spaces for people to stay all day, from working to relaxing, and this is something we are starting to change, offering a clubhouse feel without the fees. We look forward to becoming part of the Bath community.”

Location

The Bath Townhouse is situated in a prominent location on Old Bond Street - within Bath’s central conservation area - at the junction on Milsom Street, Bath’s most fashionable street. Bath’s shopping district is on the doorstep, as well as Bath Abbey and The Roman Baths. The townhouse will also be a short walk from Queen Square and the Theatre Royal.

Design

The Bath Townhouse channels the distinctive Coppa Club feel whilst incorporating glamour and individuality through its art deco inspiration. Guests will notice nods to the history of the building immediately from the façade, through to the subtle touches of the decorative style throughout, that all play into the vibrant and elegant atmosphere.

Interior designer Gina Brennan plays homage to this adored artistic style, from the bespoke bar counter and wall panelling to the unique furniture, ceramic tiled floor and lighting.

The ground floor represents Coppa’s classic layout with a restaurant, complete with playful tiled floor, painted tambour panelling and vibrant colour palette. Whilst ascending to the first floor, a 15-metre mural inspired by artist, Sónia Delauney, appears on the wall behind the stairs and behind the bar on the first floor. The balcony overlooking the staircase reflects the iconic designs of art deco cinemas or ocean liners with storied pasts.

In the club-lounge on the first floor, woven wallpaper, red panelling, a warm colour palette and a layering of different decorative lights all contribute to the opulent yet cosy club feel. Throughout the space, the artwork is fun, and furniture is eclectic, contributing to the home-from-home feel Coppa is known for, but with a touch of glamour. The intimate and unique private dining room is oval shaped, with a stunning roof lantern in the art deco style.
